Swimming in The Ganges
At the peak of my open water swimming career, I accomplished the longest swim of my life by taking on the challenge of swimming from Iron Ghat (border between India & Bangladesh) to Mursidabad, covering a distance of 81 km in just 11 hours and 43 minutes. This was an incredibly challenging downstream swim in the holy river Ganges, and to prepare for it, I trained for 8-10 hours a day for 6 days a week at the age of 14.
In the same year, I also competed in a National swimming competition held in Patna, where I covered a distance of 13 km. It was a memorable experience and I felt proud to represent my country as a young swimmer, pushing myself to the limit and achieving new personal records.
